It was a perfect day. I’m glad I spent it with you.
The cosy ambience at B&B Corte dei Nobili. Not pictured, a perfectly dark, quite and cool room and the first good sleep in a week. Upon waking, breakfast was delivered to the room at 9 on the dot.
After some leisurely work, we set off to Bizarro Ciclo and got 2 hybrid bikes, directions, and off we went!
Smiling because we don’t know how big the hill we’re going up is.
Next we wandered around town in search of lunch and decided to take advantage of the town’s gourmet delis and beautiful produce and procured a picnic spread. The B&B thoughtfully supplied us with wine.
3 different types of proscuitto! After some down time and more work, we headed out for our 8 pm dinner reservations at with some photo taking en route.
We bumped into the owner of this place the day before when it was closed. He’s a chatty guy and showed us around, noting that this was a Chinese restaurant until several years ago.
Dinner was perfect with a selection of Tuscan and Sicilian appetizers to start, Matthew had a pork stew, and the swordfish for me.
We were too full for dessert but the owner brought us some muscatel. When we were paying, he gave us a glass of 1967 grappa.
