Blue Bullet: Europe Edition. Our Mazda 3 is called the Blue Bullet, the sequel to Matthew’s high school ride, the Silver Bullet.
We were happy to get the Euro version, a diesel Ibiza that took us 2,500 km in the last two weeks.
Cadiz – Rolled into Cadiz for the afternoon between Seville and Tarifa.
Sound Catcher: Following an afternoon downpour, the birds chirped their joy.
Afternoon Tapas: You know you’ve ordered too much when the waiter stops you.
Here’s Looking at You, Africa: View of Morrocco from the Mesón de Sancho. I highly recommend it!
Sacred Heart: Church of San Mateo, Tarifa
Fishing in Bolonia: This gorgeous beach near Tarifa deserves a visit. Roman ruins of Baelo Claudio with a complete amphitheatre look onto the beach and there’s a quick hike to the sand dunes, considered to be a Natural Monument.
Cabelloros: It has been a long time dream of mine to ride a horse on the beach. I had high hopes that it would be happen on our honeymoon to St. Martin but it didn’t happen until now.
Woah: At the end of the ride, our guide remarked that Matthew was the only person who had managed to control this horse and kept him from stopping to graze for up to half an hour.
Living the Dream: So excited to be riding with Aventura Ecuestre. Matthew is bringing up the rear.
Horse’s Eye View: In the middle of three rainy days, we were lucky to experience this weather for the ride. The wind was even calm. Note the absence of any kite surfers, which Tarifa is known for.
