The route between San Sebastian/Donastia takes you through the southern tip of France. The French Pyrenees were cloudy and grey but we emerged from the tunnel into the Spanish sun.
Another gorgeous Parador stay at Bielsa, in the bottom right.
The church adjacent to the Parador. Curious about the spiky roof and this may be the origin of the site:
For ye Bielsa Athlete and Crown of Aragon, válganos your protection, Mother of God of Pineta.
A shepherd you show on a pine placed, than see you exalted the humble you lean, and as your love enacts as pious appearance.
He warned the pastor blessed and Bielsa went to the site, where they erected a shrine prodigious; discrete pine I styled throne worship.
Feeling awed and humbled.
