1. I want to
Maybe it’s my culture and family, but I like to do what I want. My parents both left their families behind to pursue the lives they wanted so there is no question of me doing the same.
2. I get what I want
When it comes to the big things in life, I get what I want. Whether you call it the Law of Attraction or the power of prayer, I find that eventually everything you wish, believe in, and daydream of comes to you. I dreamed of a husband and year-long honeymoon for years and all of a sudden, here they are! The key is not hesitating or doubting when the opportunities show up.
3. It’s now or never
Tick tock as they say. I’m over 30 and under 35 – you do the math. This is the last chance for a crazy adventure (with wine and without babysitting) so we’re seizing the day! Or everyday for up to a year.
4. Can we do it?
What is life without a challenge? I love doing something I’m not entirely sure I can do. Before, the task seems so hard but afterwards the previous looming challenge is a tiny completed thing that anyone can do. Ride over 100 km on the bike, finish a masters degree, bring it on!
5. Why not?
Is there really a risk in quitting work, depending on your self for income, and living abroad? Depends who you ask. Sure there’s the economy, crime, and whatever else you want to come up with. For me, the risk is in not living life to the fullest. We’re not getting any younger. We believe in ourselves. We’re in love and want to explore the world together. The worst thing is having dreams and letting them slip away. Anything else, we can deal with.
